What is Neuromuscular Therapy?

A technique that involves the release of deep muscle tissue. It is used to:

  • Locate and release spasms and contractions in the tissues
  • Eliminate trigger points that cause referred pain
  • Restore flexibility to the tissues
  • Rebuild the strength of injured tissues

How is it going to help you?

If you're currently using a form of therapy whether it is massage or chiropractic and you haven't seen results in 3 visits then you should reconsider your form of treatment. You will see results after 3 treatments with Neuromuscular Therapy because it is focusing on releasing the spasms and rebuilding the strength of the injured tissues.

How is it performed

Neuromuslcular Therapy uses concentrated forces and specialized thechniques to assist muscles in releasing toxins and unwinding muscle fibers.
Every client is assessed prior to their first treatment so that your therapist gets an understanding of your daily life style and bad habits. You will receive a treatment plan based on your history. At first you will experience soreness and discomfort, however you will feel results within 3 treatments.

The Neuromuscular Therapist follows a specific rehabilitation protocol.
The stages are:

  • Eliminates spasms, hyper contraction and sinuous fiber from the tissues
  • Restore proper biomechanics (movement)
  • Restore flexibility to the tissues stretching)
  • Rebuild strength of injured, weak and/or atrophied tissues
  • Build endurance of the tissues

The therapist's goal is to interrupt the psycopathological reflex circuits. Optimal success is achieved by stripping individual muscle fiber off until the muscle tissue releases.

Dave H. NMT, EMTA, ARMT

Neuromyologist

"I first became interested in the healing capabilities of neuromuscular deep tissue therapy, when I noticed that people were not improving from chronic pain or auto injuries from the use of basic massage therapy.

My Emergency Medical Technician Advanced Training gave me an acute understanding of anatomy and physiology. Time spent as the first one at the scene of an accident has provided me with the knowledge and understanding of the injuries that the human body sustains beyond broken bones that other health professionals do not witness.

I believe that this understanding is what makes me successful in helping many patients fully recover and enjoy the healthy lifestyle that they are accustomed to."
